Seedlings at Sunset

Hello there Sadhana World!!

This week has seen three enjoyable evenings of sunset seed planting sessions, lead by our dedicated garden team, Stephanie, Tom and Tobin.  As part of our expansion plans for the community garden, the seed planting has so far included Capsicum, Brinjal/Eggplant, Red Basil, Lettuce (Ice Queen), Coriander, Celery, Okra /Lady Finger (red, green) and Spinach.  We are collecting Pineapple, Papaya, Watermelon, and Chikoo seeds daily from the kitchen to plant in the future.

Sessions take place in and around our nursery, which has proved to be a peaceful and successful environment to plant and grow our seedlings.  The sessions give volunteers the chance to take part in the gardening activities during the early evening, with sunset being one of the most beautiful times of the day.

We are looking forward to harvesting more regularly and providing nutrients to our community through our own hard work and caring efforts.  This is a satisfying step towards being a more self-sustainable community.

Next week Seb will be joining the sessions with guitar in hand to serenade the sunset team!!!!

Any song suggestions for some  happy planting???

Peace
