THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN GARDEN ENERGY TRAINING CENTER NURSERY DOMESTIC WATER USE

At Sadhana Forest Haiti, we use a simple dry compost system. Liquid and solid waste is separated and used for different purposes. The solid waste is eliminated into a bucket and sawdust is added to keep it dry and to begin the composting process. The liquid is saved separately and allowed to ferment to form ammonia. No waste is every used to grow food.

The toilet system is designed to allow fast and easy usage. Hand wash stations are located on either side of the toilet area and wash stations are located in each toilet for easy clean up.
