Planting trees and saving lives!
In August 2020, Hurrican Laura damaged the water supply in Anse-à-Pitres, where Sadhana Forest Haiti is located. Many people cannot afford the petrol to run water pumps and are therefore dependent on Sadhana Forest for drinking water.
Since 2020, Sadhana Forest Haiti is the only place in town distributing free drinking water. Our solar pump is running all day, and we provide water through a tap just outside our campus morning to evening. The local people happily come and fill up their water cans!
