Kabir was the great poet, saint and weaver of medieval India. Kabir’s imagery and metaphors were drawn from the world in which he lived. The movie gives a brief look and feel of Kabir’s life and takes vieweres on a visit to the world he lived in- the world of the weavers in Benaras. Throughout the movie are many poems of Kabir, most of them taken from Robert Blys translation.
Peter Malakoff joins us for this special screening and will be available to speak about the making of the film, after the screening.
