Happy Monday to all you Forest Fairies!!!!

We hope you had a great weekend wherever you are in the world!!

This weekend Sadhana Forest welcomed another team of Aurovilian school children to the forest, where they were introduced to tree planting and water conservation by our lovely Forest Coordinator, Reza!!! In all, 10 children travelled to Sadhana and planted 12 trees. It was a pleasure to have the kids from New Creation School with us throughout the morning, which ended with a delicious vegan breakfast and a fun splash in the mud pool!!! Rajan, a very good friend of Sadhana Forest, brought the children to participate in the forest fun and we look forward to the children returning very soon!

Saturday also marked the first in the series of ‘Integral Sustainability’ seminars facilitated by the University of Human Unity and Living Routes. With the aim to explore and integrate different sustainable practices into Auroville, our keen 3- year program participants joined the seminar on Alternative Building Technologies presented by Satprem (earthen architecture) and Manu (green design). Useful and interesting information on various types of eco-friendly architectural styles were presented to seminar participants.

Thank you UHU and LR friends, we greatly look forward to the next seminar on Alternative Energy!!!

We are also excited about our first Eco-Cycle Yatra which will be taking place today! An energetic group of Sadhanites will be joined by friends from Auroville on bicycles and we will head into our neighboring villages to interact with villagers.

This afternoon’s outreach activity is hopefully the first of many future Eco-Cycle Yatras to come !!! Watch this space !!
