50 years ago there may have been half a million lions. Today there may be less then 20,000. Filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert, Explorers-in-Residence for National Geographic, have made a film that is both beautiful and well informed; reminding us that if we lose these top predators, all other animals in the food chain will suffer.
