Tea Hut
The Tea Hut at Sadhana Forest Auroville is an open community space that welcomes everyone: neighbors, travelers and volunteers alike. The tea hut embodies our values of gift economy, veganism and human unity. We do not charge for anything here, but share out of kindness and abundance.
4 o’clock tea
On weekday afternoons, volunteers serve vegan chai made with coconut milk and spices, along with laddus (dessert balls). We are open Monday to Friday 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. All is offered as a gift to you, free of charge, and is wholefood (does not contain any processed food).
Our tea is caffeine and sugar free (jaggery optional) and our laddus are made with whole millet flour, jaggery (unrefined sugar syrup) and peanut. You can find the full recipe here.
Volunteers sometimes organize workshops and other activities at the tea hut, which you are welcome to join.

Vegan Potluck
The Tea Hut hosts our monthly Vegan Potluck on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 6:00pm. You can bring your favorite dish if you like, and share it with others. Together we enjoy a rich buffet of plant-based deliciousness. And you can bring your friends and family too!
Location
The Tea Hut is located just outside the entrance gate of Sadhana Forest.
